Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap is a 16 week course for those people who have been affected by drugs and alcohol, this includes family members. The course places great emphasis on building self-esteem and confidence and there is also a qualification that accompanies the course. After finishing the course there are opportunities for volunteering, employment and further qualifications.
Abstinence as an achievable goal that can be maintained is promoted and supported by this 6 session course. The course provides those attending with the skills and tools that they will need to achieve abstinence.
The Social Partnership
For those people who are receiving help for an alcohol or drugs problem the Social Partnership is able to support them to find employment. This might begin with identifying training and education courses or helping with a job search. For those people who do find employment the Social Partnership will support them for 6 months while they are in work.
